The Hard Thing About Hard Things - Aleksa D

The Hard Things About Hard Things
Ben Horowitz
The book I'm reading is called "The Hard Things About Hard Things" written by Ben Horowitz who is a successful businessman, entrepreneur and author. This book is a very brutally honest account of his very successful start up story. It is full of business and life advice presented through very interesting examples and people. He first takes us to the time he was about 5 years old and lived in Berkeley and learned some important life lessons. He was ordered by an older boy to go and bully an African American boy and even though he was scared he refused to talk t that way to the boy, they became best friends and still are to this day. This experience he says thought him 'not to judge things by their surface' and 'following conventional wisdom and relying on shortcuts can be worse than knowing nothing at all'.
