The quote above is my very favorite in the hunger games. In the book this quote is said by Effie Trinket, She is a very funny and kind character and a bit weird too. She is responsible for drawing the names out of the bowl at the reaping which is where they choose who goes to the Hunger Games. she also escorts Katniss and Peeta to the capitol. She is always trying to be positive and tries to convince the tributes that they are lucky to be chosen. That is why she says this quote at the end of the reaping. May the odds be ever in your favor is like saying good luck and since its the hunger games then it means good luck surviving or like saying may the chance of survival be in your favor.
