Gangsta Granny

this week I am reading Gangsta Granny. This book is about a boy named Ben. Ben's parents love dance and watching "Dancing with the stars". This Friday they drive him to his grand mother like
every Friday because it is their day. Today they are going to watch the show in audience. Ben does not like the idea being with his grandma because, as he says: "she smells like a cabbage and the only things what she wants to do with him is to play scrabble". This his saying proves to be right because as soon as his parents drop him off at her place and grandma opens the door there is a huge cloud of cabbage smell coming out. Grandma welcomes him: "I prepared scrabbles and your favourite cabbage soup is ready for you!" Ben listed the things what he disliked about his grandma, some of these are: "he dislikes her hearing aid, her old fashioned dress, the fact that she does not have a TV, she farts, she farts and she forces Ben to read". Who would like to visit his grandma?

Ben is not very sincere with her as he lies to her about how the soup is tasty and ok. He is being hypocrite. This word I did not understand so I found its definition: a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, especially a person whose actions.
I am reading this book in Czech language and so far I understand all words.
