Girl Online

344/344 # of pages read (just finished!!)

So hey!
I am reading the most amazing book ever and I am addicted to it. Girl Online is written by one of the most successful YouTuber, Zoella. The book is about a girl named Penny who lives in England and has typical problems that most teenage girls do. Her "friend", Megan is mean to her and using her for a guy that they both like named Ollie. Megan has one great gay friend named Elliot who is very understanding and fashionable. Penny secretly has a blog named Girl Online which is anonymous and only Elliot knows of it.

There is a play at school which Megan and Ollie are staring in, and Penny who is always very shy and uncomfortable with herself slipped and everyone saw her panties. Megan posted a video of this on Facebook which embarrassed Penny even more. Penny became pretty depressed and mad with herself. She didn't understand why Megan would do that, and what a fool the video made her. Missing school for a few days, and having huge panic attacks was the result. Later on, Penny finds out that she is going to New York with her family and Elliot for Christmas because her parents are organizing a wedding there for someone there.

When Penny gets to New York she falls in love with a boy who is so good looking and flirty named Noah. Then she blogs about her feelings and how great she feels and how it changed her life. She explained how a nightmare turned into a dream. But will it stay like this? Things got a little crazy when she came back from New York, and Penny found out something that effects her relationship with Noah, the boy she met. But could it get any worse? Someone found out about her blog!

I wont tell you more because I feel like im spoiling the whole book...

But here are 2 words that I didn't understand:
--

Word: Curtly (pg 280)

Definition: rudely and briefly said without manners.

Sentence: "I understand!" Joe said curtly to Caspar
--

Word: Shingle (pg 341)

Definition: a pile of small pebbles (most likely to be found on the beach)

Sentence: We sat on the shingle and look at the bright skies.
