Paranatural - Zack Morrison

The literature I've been reading for the last two weeks is a wonderful comic called Paranatural, drawn and written by artist Zack Morrison. It revolves around the adventures of a cynical 12-year-old, Max, who has just moved into a cheery town called Mayview. He's just discovered his ability to see supernatural beings, not exactly ghosts but not exactly demons either. A mix of the two and a few more things.

Two words that I didn't understand were shenanigans and spectral. Spectral actually just means 'of or relating to a ghost', and shenanigans just mean general tomfoolery or silly activities. (ex. The spectral shenanigans last Friday evening worried the townspeople, but not the ghost hunters.)

It is 225 pages long, coming in four chapters. There are bi-weekly updates of one page each.  I'd really recommend it to anybody who is into supernatural stuff--Max is actually a really funny character to follow through the story. The art style is colorful as well, so it's pretty easy to grab your attention.

You can read it here.  Be sure to turn off ad-block though, that's how the author can keep the site running!
