The Tipping Point

The book 

The title of this book is "The Tipping Point" by Malcolm Gladwell. This book has 279 pages. Some facts that I learned so far are that during 1995 to 1996 a city named Baltimore was attacked by an epidemic of syphilis which is a sexually transmitted disease (for more  detail check the 1st link). As well this disease can be passed from a  pregnant mother on to her baby. Another fact that according to the "Center for Disease Control" was that this disease had increased because of the use of crack cocaine. "Which causes risky sexual behavior." When the people who go to the neighborhoods that have these disease to buy cocaine and then they go back to their nicer and not infected neighborhoods and bring the disease and infect them. Something that I learned is some not to use cocaine and I learned what some symptoms of syphilis are so if I ever see anyone who has them I would know what they are and I would know to sty away from them and tell them to go and get checked.  Something extra I would like to learn about is maybe see why cocaine cause these affects on the human body. A technical word in this book is CDC. This term is used on page 15 near the end of the page. CDC is an abbreviation of "Center for Disease Control".
