Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Author: Ransom Riggs
352/352 pages
The Protagonist of this book's name is Jacob/Yacob Portman. He is a 16 - sixteen year old part Jew from a rich family. He is determined, stubborn, and ignorant all at the same time. Nevertheless, he never gives up and is very caring bout other people.

The antagonists are described briefly at the beginning of the story. There is more than one antagonist, rather, hundreds of them, called hollowcast. They have tentacle - like things coming out of their mouths, raw scaly flesh that hangs loose on their bony structure, long grotesque claws, and an unbearable stench. How they came to be this way, you'll have to read to find out. They feed on any kind of meat, but mostly "peculiars"who I will explain more about during my actual report. Jacob is a peculiar, his ability is being able to see the monsters just like his grandpa. Others can only see their shadows.

The reason that they attack at night. One thing that disturbs me....No matter how many you kill....

There's always more.
