"Paper Towns" By John Green

Hello students, for my mystery novel I am reading "Paper Towns" By John Green. This book is about a guy named Quentin who goes to high school and so far, he and his friends are seen like a silly group, but they aren't popular. Quentin was once very good friends with a girl named Margo Roth Spiegelman. She was adventurous and she loved mysteries so much that for Quentin, she started to become one.
One school night, she opened Quentin's window and he was so surprised because the last time she did that was when they were nine years old. She offered him an adventure that they could go on together. Margo didn't tell him where they were going or what they were going to do. She just told him she needed him. In my opinion she was just trying to have him go with her and help her because for this long trip she needed his car.
It was late at night, as they set out to explore the streets of Florida while Margo tries to get revenge on her friends, or just people who deserve it. But will they know she did it? How will she get away with this? Quentin is worried about his old pal, but he sure wants to find out who she is now, has she changed? What is waiting ahead of him?

So the settings in my story take place at a lot of places so far. The story itself is set in Florida, United States and from the the description of the places, it seems like it is in the present probably in the 21th century.
The story changed settings a lot. In the begging it was at school while Quentin and his friends, Radar and Ben, just couldn't stop obsessing over prom. Then the setting moved to Quentin's house when Margo burst into his room through the window. After that, the setting was very late at night, about 1 or 2 a.m when Margo and Quentin went to Wall-Mart to buy somethings for their trip and after that they went to Becca's house (who was Margo's friend) to start the first part of the marvelous revenge.

I am really enjoying this book because it keeps me wondering what would be the next step, who will Margo betray and if they are ever going to get caught. I really am looking forward to finishing this book!

  1. Shelly I really like how detailed your post was. It explained the setting in great detail, and I especially liked how you gave your opinion on the book as well as an introduction and summary of it. I look forward to reading your other posts and will probably read "Paper Towns". Great job!
