Title: Party Shoes
Author:  Noel Streatfeild
Genre:  Fiction

In the book I have been reading, Party Shoes, it has been very interesting.  Several things have happened since my last post.   This is what I found out while reading this week.  The children had a meeting and decided to have a pageant aka a play.   They are each going to write one scene of the play and merge them together.   In the play, Selina will wear her special dress.  She will be dreaming what’s happening in the whole play and appear on stage at the beginning and the end.  They decided on a schedule to write the play, cast the parts, make costumes and practice before performing it at the end of the summer.   Their parents agreed since they play will be historical, keep them busy for the summer, and they will earn money for charity by selling tickets.  The kids arranged for the play to be performed at an old abbey near their house were their neighbors who live there are getting ready to sell it and retire.  The kids have to keep their grades up in school otherwise their Dad will cancel it for sure.  So, they decide to have a contest to see who can increase their class rank the most.  Whoever does wins money they all contributed.  I can’t wait to read what happens next.
