This is a story of a group of scientists and sailors who went on a search of a humongous monster which was believed to be a sort of a mammal like a while. It was believed that this creature caused a lot of trouble for ships by making big holes in them. It was also believed that it was powerful and strong but shy so it kept on moving from place to place. People believed that this monster was really dangerous and these scientists wanted to get rid of it forever. But like it caused trouble for the other boats it also caused trouble for the others. Three of the sailors got thrown off the ship. Of course with the monsters around the sailors were in big trouble, only for a Canadian to realise that the monster was metal! Of course this was really weird. A monster that through them off their own ship to be handmade?
They found out only few seconds later that it was a submarine built by a sailor Captain Nemo. Captain Nemo had bad relationships with the world and that's why he lived underwater away from the world in a metal 'monster'. The 3 friends in this book get to experience the life of a human under the sea. But their problem is that they want to get back on land. What can they do? Live with Captain Nemo for the rest of their lives or escape without him noticing? I got to read the read of the book to find out!
