The 13 Treasures

The 13 Treasures

Michelle Harrison

155/355 Pages Read (this week and last week)

The setting of this section of the novel is mainly a region in London called Tickey End. Tickey End is an ancient place with many markets and some poor and rich parts. In Tickey End, the main character Tanya is sent to her Grandmother's house which is a large and old Manor surrounded by woods that hold many secrets in them. The main character and her friend go exploring in the house and in the woods, where the weather is breezy and earthy. I think that this part of the novel is set in middle to end of summer because the weather is getting colder than usual. As the main character goes exploring in the manor and the woods, she finds many creatures and many secret diaries written by the first owner of the Manor. The character is getting really interested in the older mysteries of the house. In conclusion, the character is exploring the cold woods and finds out many new secrets as she seeks for adventures and trouble.

  2. This seems like a really interesting book! You described the setting very well and your book is a little similar to my story because the main character in my book is ALSO interested in exploring and discovering the mysteries of a house too! :D I would get really scared if I find many different creatures in the woods!!
