Jack Gantos, was in his end of teenage hood, he became a 19 year old with a fake ID a fast car, and not a lot money he never thought of any consequences of his actions, and that didn’t lead him to the right path. In the summer of 1971 was when Jack lost his freedom going a little bit too far looking for adventure. All he was looking for was money, freedom and of course some action, but he decided to find all this things illegally, he subscribed to help sail a yacht from a Virgin Island to New York city that had loaded drugs inside it.
They were all able to sell some drugs but in the end federal agents caught them and the young Jack Gantos was sentenced at 6 years of jail prison. How will the jail change him???
Before he was in jail he wanted a writing future, 6 years is a long time to write all of your fears, and experiences. Jack Gantos is the author of my realistic book I am reading about, for his time in prison he became a writer, he wrote about his past the fear of being in jail, the future he wanted to have but I am going to have the honor to read step by step all the changes he went threw his life, because of one mistake.
