THE LIFE AND DEATH OF ADOLF HITLER

# Pages: 25/226
Author: James Cross Giblin

Hello dear blog readers! For our new book project, I am reading a book named: "The life and death of Adolf Hitler". What you might notice is that this book project of ours is regarding a non-fiction book. I selected this book because I am truly interested in finding out more about the tyrant that lead to the murder of 60 million people. How did one man destroy a part of the world? In this case, this is a biography. Today, I will mainly be focusing on Hitlers appearance and traits, not his terrible deeds. I might talk about this in a future post.

TRAITS: Adolf Hitler was an extremely intelligent man. After all, a un-capable and not so smart man would have not been able to lead such a nation of the caliber as Germany. Though he was never great in school, he did have one gift, his speaking skills. He was able to convince people into doing things that he felt were right, not what the people did. He was able to manipulate one whole nation, into doing what it has done. As well, he was very determined in his acts. For example, he waged a war with  a huge amount of nations in order to achieve his goal, the dominance of the Aryan race. The Aryan race is a race of people that primarily inhabits North-west Europe, which includes Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, and some others. What I want to prove is that his determination to succeeded was so great, that he even went to war with the rest of the world, and even though later it was obvious that the Reich had suffered a defeat, he still fought on, and he died*** determined. Here is a line that proves his war on the rest of the world: "But the most dangerous- and ultimately most destructive-twentieth century dictator was Adolf Hitler" (2). In general, we can conclude that Hitler truly had all the traits a leader needs, in order to be successful. I am not saying he was successful, but the way he guided his nations and his ideas was truly impressive, but what they actually where, was of course, terrible, and out of any normal standards. A line from the book that proves he was in absolute control was: "Perhaps the best way to start is with the fact he was a dictator- a leader with absolute power and authority over his people" (1). This by itself does not prove a lot, but would you expect that an un-capable son of a Austrian custom-official would be much?

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: Adolf Hitlers physical appearance was very interesting, and a little bit un-usual. First of all, he was not very tall. He was only around 173 centimeters (5'8). What is interesting is that another huge leader, was also not very tall, and yet he conquered many parts of Europe, and by this I mean Napoleon Bonaparte. Napoleon was around 170 (5'7). His actual appearance in his later life, and his characteristic appearance was like this:
-Black Hair
-Black and large mustache
-Big ears
-White skin
-Blue eyes
In order to see for yourself, here is an image of him:

As a leader of a nation, he was always very well dressed, and in most cases he wore a suit.

In general, I think that this book so far is great. It truly provides the reader with a lot of detail about his life, and how he came to be what he was. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in history, since he is an extremely important historical figure. As well, I personally find it important for someone to find out more about such a key person.
