The conflict in the beginning of the story was that Simon Cowell the host of X-Factor, thought that they could not sign a girl band and a boy band. After some thought from the judges, they decided that One Direction was too talented to let them go. Even though I have not read about what happened next, I think that Simon will sign them to the record company after all.
Nice blog post. You should've maybe explained the conflict a bit more; when it happened, etc. Keep up the good work!
