"Models Don't Eat Chocolate Cookies" by Erin Dionne is about a 13 year old girl named Celesta. Her aunt enters her in a modeling contest with 5,000 dollars as scholar ship money! The modeling agency is looking for girls that are a bit chubbier then other girls. Just like Celesta. Celesta goes through trying to loose weight so that the modeling agency wouldn't want her,  but also trying to figure out what has gotten into her best friend Sandra who is hanging out with the meanest girl to Celesta  who is also the most popular girl named Lively. Celesta deals with the first interview trying to be the boring est contestant. What she doesn't know is that the most famous model loves Celestas honesty and tries to help her through the struggles she has when her dress doesn't fit a couple minutes before showtime. Celesta learns a lot from the modeling agency and especially her cousin (who was in a beauty pageant) who told her to have fun with it. Celesta ends up having the time of her life on the runway and she gets second place! One life lesson Celesta learned was that never to quit before you try. Celesta had to deal with friendship problems but she ends up making many more friends, and she also discovers something very secretive about her enemy! Will Sandra ever apologize and go back to Celesta as being best friends? What is the secret she found out about her enemy?

I recommend this book to girls ages 9 to 16. Since I really enjoyed the book and I want to read more books by this author! I also think this book gives a good message to us and it is also realistic fiction which is my favorite genre. In conclusion this book was really good and I hope to read more books by this author in the future!
