The Westing Game
Author: Ellen Raskin
Number of pages that I've read this week:40
Setting:The Sunset Towers, lake Michigan. It does not exactly say the time, but i can guess It's a near past, maybe like 15-20 years ago.
If my novel would have a different time and place, for example 19th century in Belgrade, people would behave differently, people would speak different language and people won't have that much opportunities like we have now.
If i had a chance to travel to Sunset Towers, I wouldn't. Because it doesn't seem interesting to me. They didn't describe any exciting places and I don't like it very much.
Page 1 says: Sunset Towers faced east and had no towers. This glittery, glassy apartment house stood alone on the Lake Michigan shore five stories high.
Quick Summary
Pages 80-120
The snowplow plowed and a warm sun finished the job of freeing the tenants of Sunset Towers. Angela was the 1st one out.
After that, doorman was cleaning J.J.Ford's car. He was trying to give him a tip,but Sandy couldn't take that, after all he did for his family. Grace was quite sure that Mr. Hoo couldn't be a murder,he couldn't even kill a bug in a sink. Then,Chris was trying to say clues, and somehow he made it!! Angela's dad was trying to teach her how to drive but she was too timid and he was impatient. Meanwhile she didn't want to get married but she couldn't hurt her partner too.
Finally Shin Hoo got a customer,he was too exciting and he acted like a busy man. Whole group were wondering how Westing's wife looked like, and they found out that Sandy saw here once or twice so he described her to them. One interesting fact is that Violet Westing looked like Angela Wexler. Angella's wedding ''came''. Everybody were exciting except her,she was too nervous while opening the presents. Her wedding was destroyed when bomb exploded and her beautiful face was covered with blood.
Monday was a grey rainy day, depressing. Theo solved chemistry and the answer ''told'' hem that the murder was OTIS. Theo found himself kneeling on the bare floor next to the praying Crow. He must be dreaming. After classes instead of running around the indoor track, Doug Hoo jogged out of the gym to the shopping center. There was Otis Amber.
One thing that made Chris happy was that there is a solution for him to be healthy and normal again.
